Just in time for the new year to try out the one month free Body FX Fitness Training with unlimited access to over 200+ tailored video training. But before I tell you all about that, let’s dive in and learn about Body FX.

This is a review of an all in one home exercise program, it’s got a meal plan, coaching, a vibrant accountability Facebook community, and some of the coolest workouts designed to be done from the comfort of your home. Well, maybe you’re tired of the G-word, gym to be precise or it could be the lack of motivation or cost or just not a fan of working out in front of people. if you’re just starting or you’ve been exercising at home this might just work for you.

Working out can be hard especially the first few days, this is because you’re seeing it as a chore and not a lifestyle. You need a change of mindset to really see change. However, that doesn’t happen overnight.

So What is the Body FX?

Body FX is a complete home workout program that includes a library of streaming workouts and workout calendars, E-coaching, which is coaching delivered to you by email membership and access to a private Facebook community with other body FX members plus detailed nutritional guides with meal plans. That is an overview of the Body FX program.

Body FX was created by Jaana Kunitz and her husband James Kunitz. Both were internationally recognized in the Latin dance world for years and after retirement, they wanted to stay fit. James and Janna were inspired by Billy Blanks who at that time was leading Tae Bo on TV ( a combination of martial arts and boxing) thought they could do a video like that based on dance since getting on a machine was not an option.

Body FX Workouts.

This is what makes this program unique. Think about your personality, it’s different from everyone else. Everyone has different tastes and likes. So what makes you think that you’re going to be motivated to do the same workout? You have to find what works for you. Not everyone is cut out for visiting the gym everyday or heavy lifting. It’s possible to achieve fitness without heavy lifting and that’s where Body FX comes in. Likewise, these types of workouts may not appeal to everyone, and that’s okay. Just like most workouts, the principle of consistency is key if you want to maintain a life-changing program. It’s about showing up over and over again until it’s no longer a chore but a lifestyle. Set a goal and work towards it. That’s the whole point of wanting to join a program, right? And having a variety of workout programs brings fun too!

Body FX workouts are categorized into three categories of routines you’ll find inside their workout library. There’s Jaana Rhythms, Figure 8, and JNL Fusion.

What’s Jaana Rhythms Body FX Method?

Jaana Rhythms comprises different dance styles that sculpt your body with targeted dance moves. It sounds similar to Figure 8, but they’re quite different. With Jaana Rhythms, it’s more of an intermediate program with various dance workouts. The program has 8 incredibly fun dance workouts and coaching sessions. The dance styles used in this program are Disco, Hip Hop, Belly Dance, Dance Sculpt, and Latin all designed to target specific body parts.

Here’s an overview of what to expect with each dance workout in Jaana Rhythms.

  • Disco (For cardio endurance and agility. Targets the entire body)
  • Hip Hop (For cardio endurance and core strength. Targets Abs, Back, Arms & Glutes)
  • Belly Dance (For hip coordination & spine flexibility. Targets sides, back & abs)
  • Dance Sculpt (For Fluid Body Actions. Targets Arms, Core, Back, Legs & Glutes)
  • Latin (For cardio endurance and core power. Targets Abs, Sides, Back, Arms & Glutes)

The three additional bonus programs upon purchase are:

Rhythms Full Body Tone, Beginner Tips & Tricks, and Community & Support.

What’s Figure 8 Body FX Method?

Figure 8 workout style is a dynamic core cardio training through dance.

It follows three major phases: Learn, Burn, and Sculp. Figure 8 a style of workout based on Latin dance created by Instructor, Jaana Kunitz and her husband having been internationally recognized competitors in the Latin dance world for years.

The goal is to make workouts fun and enjoyable, which is why you will be doing things like the Roomba and Jive, generally some easy to follow dance moves.

The choreography in these routines is not easy unless you do Latin dance all the time and takes a while to learn, but just be patient however frustrating it gets. I bet once you’ve got the combination right, you’ll be feeling like a freaking rock star. Remember the goal is to workout and have fun while at it. If it’s not fun then it’s not for you, find something that works out for you. And what a great way to start your day than doing something fun and good for your body!

What’s JNL Fusion Workout?

JNL stands for Jennifer Nicole Lee, the instructor of the workouts and a fitness model. These are completely different from Figure 8 routines and a nice compliment. It’s a different setting and team and there’s no music. Here you’re not required to learn any choreography. The workouts are done on a 30-second interval of cardio and incorporate lots of strength training. Like Figure 8, JNL Fusion has a lot of different routines inside the workout library. Personally, I think Figure 8 routines are what makes the Body FX program shine, but like I said they are a nice complement to switch from Figure 8 workouts.

Is the Body FX system a physical fitness program or diet program?

Body FX is a complete program. It has both the nutrition plan and workouts, including prefilled workout calendars. If you’re looking to add new workouts to your plan, you don’t need a nutrition plan, right?

What type of workout is Body FX? cardio, strength training, stretching?

Body FX has a little bit of cardio, strength training, and stretching, but in general, Figure 8routines are steady-state cardio with a focus on your core toning and strengthening your core. They do have a few routines that focus on the upper body and lower body strengthening that are not cardio routines.

What equipment do you need?

The only equipment needed for the program is your own bodyweight, only one other program that uses resistance bands and a mat that can be purchased through an online retailer like Amazon or via any sporting goods store.

How much space is needed?

Since you’re moving in every direction, envision needing a little bit more space than you would typically need for a traditional home workout. For JNL Fusion, you will need just the normal amount of space that you would use to do any home workout routine.

Who is it for?

Figure 8 workouts are fast-paced with advanced choreography. They are designed for everyone and as far as intensity goes, you can make them as intense as you’d like. The main obstacle will be choreography but beginners have done it, you can do it too. Challenge yourself, don’t allow yourself to get frustrated easily without at least trying them at least five or so times. These are some of the most fun workouts you will ever do, no pain no gain, right? But in this case, it’s learning the choreography and once you’ve done so, I bet you will be feeling like a freaking rockstar.

However, these workouts are mostly done by women, from the online reviews men also seem to enjoy them too. Again, it’s all about finding a workout that works for you and have while doing it.

How long are the workouts?

Figure 8 exercises are about 50 minutes in length and the longest JNL Fusion exercise is 40 minutes (Ballistic Backside) however average around 30 minutes.
